Terms of Service

The service

Blonella provides parent-run tools for family reading: shelves, journeys, short child check-ins, parent approval of finishes, optional rewards, and labeled purchase links. It is not a social network, not an on-screen reading library, and not a child storefront. Purchases happen outside Blonella when a parent chooses a retailer link.

Who may use the account

Accounts are for adults (parents or guardians). By creating an account you represent that you can form a binding contract and that you will only add child profiles for children you are authorized to manage. Children use Blonella only as profiles under your account, through flows you control (including optional Child mode).

Your responsibilities

• Keep login credentials and family PIN confidential.
• Use the product to support family reading, not to harass, scrape, or abuse the service.
• Provide accurate account information and parental consent where required.
• Understand that recommendations and book metadata may be incomplete or wrong; you decide what your family reads and buys.

Free access & affiliates

Core Blonella access is free. We fund the product in part through labeled affiliate links. As an Amazon Associate, Blonella earns from qualifying purchases. Affiliated status does not mean paid placement of recommendations. See the affiliate disclosure and how it stays free.

Privacy

Our current privacy practices are described in the Privacy Policy draft. That page also notes it is pending counsel review.

Intellectual property

Blonella branding, software, and original product content belong to TexoByte / Blonella. Book titles, covers, and retailer content belong to their respective owners. You keep rights to content you enter (such as child display names or reward labels), and you grant us a license to host and process it only as needed to run the service.

Disclaimers

The service is provided “as is” during this product stage. We do not warrant uninterrupted availability, perfect recommendations, or that retailer prices or stock will match what you see after you leave Blonella. Reading outcomes and purchases are your family’s decisions.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent allowed by law, TexoByte and Blonella are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for retailer transactions you complete off-site. Aggregate liability for claims relating to the service is limited to the greater of fees you paid us in the prior twelve months (if any) or fifty U.S. dollars. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations; those limits apply only to the extent permitted.

Termination

You may stop using Blonella and delete your account. We may suspend or terminate access for abuse, security risk, or material breach of these terms. Provisions that should survive (including IP, disclaimers, and liability limits) continue after termination.
